As the house is so close to Falmouth town and Gylly beach you can spend your holiday just walking to different parts of Falmouth. There are also lovely boat trips to St Mawes, Helford River and Truro these all go from Falmouth.

​

The train station is also in close proximity the train takes approximately 20 minutes to Truro.

There are also buses that go to local beaches such as Maenporth and to Trebah Gardens.

From Falmouth, there are several wonderful gardens to visit which are within a short 20-minute drive, the tropical garden of Trebah which has its own beach, Glendurgan with a puzzling maze and Treliisick.

 

You can go on coastal walks where there are beach cafes at each cove to help you on your way and you can catch a local bus back.

 

The historical city of Truro with a beautiful Cathedral can be visited by boat or car.

 

Within Falmouth, there is a good Art Museum, the National maritime museum and Pendennis Castle. The town is very picturesque with a narrow winding high street with many cafes and restaurants.  There is also a harbour where you can watch the boats go by and enjoy the food and drink from one of the local public houses.

 

Your holiday can be as relaxing or active as you wish it be there are sea safaris, shark fishing, sailing tuition and a water sports school for children and families all available in Falmouth
