Description

This is a three-bedroom house in a very peaceful location set in large gardens. There is off-street parking available for two cars.

As the house is so close to Falmouth town and Gylly beach you can spend your holiday just walking to different parts of Falmouth. There are also lovely boat trips to St Mawes, Helford River and Truro these all go from Falmouth.

The train station is also in close proximity the train takes approximately 20 minutes to Truro.

Below are some suggestions of what to do in Falmouth and the local area.

  • Visit Porthleven lovely harbour with art shops and coffee shops and then go onto Praa Sands to have a walk along the beach, very strong surfing waves here

  • Park at Carbis bay (drop anyone that doesn’t like a hill at the beach and then go back up hill and park in the long stay car park TR26 2TU,  have a coffee ) either walk or get the train to St Ives. St Ives has a few beaches and lovely to see (but can be busy)

  • Boat to St Mawes from Falmouth and have a pasty. From Prince of Wales Pier they sometimes have boats for £10 return.

  • https://viaferratacornwall.co.uk/ - zip wire activity cetnre nice to go and have breakfast or coffee (17 minute drive)

  • Perranporth Beach, the visit can becombined with a visit to Healys cider farm which is very close to Perranporth beach

  • Kayak hire at Helford passage or kayak hire at Swanpool beach and paddle to stack point beach

  • Minick theatre (you can book a theatre and garden visit just to see the theatre and not a show for £10, need to book in advance ), combined with a visit to Penzance lido (there is a small geo-thermal pool you can book) or St Michaels Mount.

  • Park at swanpool beach and walk to Maenporth beach and have lunch and walk back

  • Purchase a throw away barbecue , sausages and some rolls and drive to Maenporth beach and have a barbecue or have a barbecue on Gylly beach

  • Train to Truro to explore the cathedral and shops.

  • Trebah gardens

  • Take a boat to Flushing walk to Mylor ( approx. 45 minutes) have lunch in Mylor and then walk back either the same way or over the hill.

  • Hire stand-up paddleboards (SUPs) in Crantock lovely safe river to practise on (Pirates Perch Surf Hire) about an hours drive)

  • Gardens  - Lost Gardens of Helligan

  • Hire a motor boat from Custom House Quay and explore the Fal river.
