Penstraze Cottage is just a 2-minute walk away from Gylly beach where there is a lovely cafe, paddleboard hire and coastal path to further beaches. The Cottage is only a 15-minute walk away from Falmouth town, where you can visit the maritime museum, visit one of the many restaurants and bars or choose a boat trip.

Great Days out from Falmouth -:-

Boat trip up the rivel Fal to Truro (there can be large ships parked up the river)
Visit the large surfing bay of Perranporth Beach and enjoy a surf, walk and pasty.
Trebah Gardens, private beach, garden trails & a small playground
Maritime Museum pays at the beginning of the week then you can go free as many times as you want.
Boat trip to St Mawes visit the castle with an audio tour.
Walk around the coastal path to Maenporth past Swanpool.
Visit the Gyllingdune Gardens at the Princess Pavilion on a Wed or Sunday Evening in Summer and listen to the band.
Walkthrough Falmouth town centre and have a coffee and cream tea at one of the many cafes.
